Football Crazy!!!

There is a human side to all businesses and what can unite Sibley Pares and sometime divide us,  is a mutual interest in sport and for many this is football. We may all have our premiership teams of choice but all follow and support our local team Maidstone United!

We were therefore pleased to be able to combine this interest with a charitable event to raise money for local causes at our very own “World Table Football Cup”. This was held at the Gallagher Stadium at Maidstone Football ground and saw local firms and businesses battling it out to see who were premier league standard.  After gruelling qualifying rounds our own team fielding one former employee who we had no idea would be our very own Kane, lost to Hallett & Co Solicitors who were crowned champions!

This event raised funds for local Charities that we asked our teams to nominate.

One that was decided upon was The Stones Community Trust, a charity set up by Maidstone United to support sporting activities to help local communities. This seemed a fitting recipient from this event, vaguely sports based, held at their ground. Our donation will be used to benefit our young people in Maidstone.

In addition, we supported the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust.  This had specific resonance with the team, where there has been first-hand experience of the service they offer. The donation will be used to help babies who receive care on the Oliver Fisher Neonatal unit and their families, ensuring outstanding care is offered to their tiny patients using the latest technology and best equipment available.

So, thank you again to all who supported this event and the team at Sibley Pares who organised this. We hope you can join us again next year for our next tournament the ”European Table football Championships“  and we can see who will emulate the success we hope to see England enjoy next year in the Euros!
